All six candidates will face off for the first time against each other in this year’s Republican primary for WV U.S. Senate in a debate tonight at Wheeling Jesuit University.
The debate will begin at 6:30 at the institution’s Troy Theater.
This is the only debate scheduled to include all six Republican candidates, U.S. Rep. Evan Jenkins, West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey, former Massey Energy CEO Don Blankenship, Tom Willis, Bo Copley and Jack Newbrough.
With 15 days until Election Day, time to persuade voters is not on the candidate side.
Although the debate is will be in his hometown, US Rep. David McKinley says he’s staying out of the primary election and concentrating on November.
