Opening arguments began in the trial for a man charged with aggravated murder for the shooting death of a 15-year-old in Steubenville last year.
24-year-old Donnell Turner is charged with aggravated murder, murder, two counts of felonious assault and tampering with evidence.
He is accused of shooting and killing Tyshawn Jett April 9, 2017, and injuring two other teens that were claimed members of the opposite gang as him.
The maximum sentence on the charges is life in prison without the possibility of parole, plus 28 years.
Trial will resume this morning at the Jefferson County Courthouse, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
