Three of West Virginia’s six Republican U.S. Senate candidates will be on a national stage tonight, one week ahead of the May primary election.
Fox News Channel will air the debate involving 3rd District Congressman Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.), state Attorney General Patrick Morrisey and former Massey CEO Don Blankenship at Morgantown’s Metropolitan Theater from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m
Jenkins, Morrisey and Blankenship all polled above a 10 percent threshold to qualify for participation with Jenkins garnering 25 percent in the Fox poll, 21 percent for Morrisey and 16 percent for Blankenship.
Early voting continues through Saturday, May 5.
As of yesterday morning, those with the Secretary of State’s Office were reporting more than 24,000 ballots had already been cast statewide.
