A Texas man accused of taking police on a pursuit in Jefferson County was in court on yesterday morning.
Rodney Peterson of Euless, Texas is charged with failure to comply with the order of a police officer.
In June 2017, Peterson allegedly led officers from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio State Highway Patrol on a 5-mile pursuit while he was driving a semi-truck.
A deputy reported Peterson refused a blood-alcohol test and an open container of whiskey was found inside the truck.
Peterson chose not to take the state’s plea agreement.
His trial will begin on Tuesday, and he faces up to 3 years in prison.
