John Bumba has been named the new police chief in Bridgeport, and he’s come in with some new ideas and plans for the city. Some of his ideas include increased foot patrols to reach out to the community, better pay for his officers, and updating every policy and procedure, saying it’s been too long since that’s been done.
Chief Bumba also let Bridgeport residents know he has an open door policy.
