Acuity Hospital of South Texas announced it will close its 30-bed San Antonio acute-care facility on July 14.
Parent company Acuity Healthcare said in a statement this week that declining revenue combined with industry changes led to financial losses, resulting in the decision to close the San Antonio facility.
AcuityHealthcare is an employee-owned long-term acute-care hospital company based in Charlotte, North Carolina. It owns and manages three other hospitals in Atlantic City and Willingboro, New Jersey, and Bellaire, Ohio.
The Acuity Specialty Hospital of Ohio Valley is a 72-bed Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital with its Main Provider Campus located on the second floor of Belmont Community Hospital in Bellaire, Ohio.
