Progress is being made at the Fitzsimmons Family Dog Park in Wheeling.
This week, crews are laying down new sod.
The re-surfacing is needed after shards of glass were found a few months ago.
An additional $32,000 donation from the Fitzsimmons Foundation allowed for the sod to be put down, which was a more expensive option for resurfacing.
