A driver in an accident that left one woman dead in Washington, Penn. is thought to be a Weirton man.
Witnesses said a Jeep Liberty became airborne near the bottom of Sharp Avenue then rammed through the brick side wall into the Health Network Outpatient Center around 1:23 p.m. Wednesday.
Kimberly Dollard, a 57-year-old employee, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have identified the driver as 43-year-old Chad Spence of Weirton. Right now, he is not charged with any crimes and he was taken to an area hospital.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash. So far, they say they do not believe the crash was intentional, and they’re looking into potential mechanical or medical causes.
