Council members expressed their concerns over the closure of possible city parks, including Piece of Pie Park in the LaBelle neighborhood. Concerns over keeping them open ranged from maintenance issues (cost of upkeep, manpower, and vandalism) to the fact that many of the parks aren’t used as much as they were in the past.
4th Ward Councilman Scott Dressel expressed his concern over the possible closures.
Parks and Recreation board will vote next month on the issue.
