Impeachment proceedings began yesterday with the WV House of Delegates voting unanimously in favor of a resolution that gives its Judiciary Committee the authority to investigate the possible impeachment of members of the State Supreme Court.

Much of the discussions so far focusing on suspended and recently indicted Justice Alan Loughery.

Delegates voted down an attempt by Democrats to put a deadline on the investigation.

The Judiciary Committee won’t meet again until July 9th, at the earliest.
