Belmont County will soon be getting some financial relief.
The Ohio State Legislature voted and approved House Bill 299 Wednesday to ensure that the state will pick up the tab on the flood damage that Belmont County suffered back in February. Belmont County would have previously had to come up with over $1 Million to pay for the damage if the bill didn’t pass.
Pultney Township Trustee Frank Shaffer is grateful to see that the state is stepping in to help cover the costs.
