Accidental Shooting in Shadyside

A local teenager is in critical condition after taking a bullet to the chest Saturday evening at York Terrace apartments in Shadyside.

Michael Christy is now facing misdemeanor charges of assault after his gun went off, hitting a 16-year-old-boy in the chest.

The young man is in critical condition at a Pittsburgh area hospital, but is expected to make a full recovery.
