The House of Delegates voted June 26 to move ahead with impeachment proceedings against Justice Allen Loughry, those proceedings begin today through Saturday.

Controversy erupted over Loughry’s possession of furnishings he took home in 2012 while he was still a law clerk.

Then Loughry was first charged by the state Judicial Investigations Commission and then by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Delegate Roger Hanshaw, the vice chairman of the Judiciary Committee explained the complications for voters.
