Also at last night’s council meeting, Anthony Marks received a proclamation from Steubenville City Council for his life-saving actions on Independence Day.

Marks was working at the BP Gas Station when he saw a woman suffering from a heat stroke and was able to get her help. He ran home to get her his inhaler to use and drove her back to her home when she was feeling better.

Steubenville Mayor Jerry Barilla is proud of Marks’ efforts and hopes that the public takes more notice of what’s happening around them.

Marks received the proclamation in front of numerous friends and family members.
