Two pools of mosquitoes have tested positive for the West Nile Virus, according to the Cambridge-Guernsey County Health Department.

The traps were placed and collected between the months of June and July of 2018.

The Cambridge-Guernsey County Health Department said they applied larvicide at the positive-testing locations Tuesday.

The health department encourages the community to:

Use insect repellent, wear long sleeves or long pants and cover as much skin as possible, check your window and door screens, and eliminate standing water in your yard.
