A man who is no stranger to the courtroom learned his sentence concerning a drug charge.

Dermiel Mills, also known as Buster, received the maximum sentence.

This is related to a traffic stop where officers seized a large amount of cocaine. Judge Frank Fregiato said he has an extensive record.

Fregiato read a list of Mills’ history, some convictions, others dismissals.

Monday’s sentencing relates to a traffic stop on Interstate 70 in July. Mills pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine.

Prosecuting Attorney Joe Vavra said Mills was already under investigation with the amount of drugs he was bringing form the Cleveland area.

Mills will spend eight years in the penitentiary.
