The Hancock County School District superintendent held a meeting Tuesday night on the upcoming renewal levy.

Fewer than 10 people turned out for the meeting, which Superintendent Tim Woodward said is a sign there is little opposition to the renewal levy.

The renewal levy will afford the district $35 million over five years. There is no tax increase for the renewal.

Woodward said the improved programs for free and reduced lunches and school safety and security would benefit from the renewal.
