The Weirton Fire Department is having a Fire Safety Day from noon to 4 p.m. at their Headquarters Station in Saturday, October 27th.

This day was made possible by the local area businesses and donors.

Arcelor Mittal donated $5,600, Weirton Medical Center donated $3,000, Weirton Firefighters IAFF Local 948 donate $1,000, an the City of Weirton donated $1,000.

There will be an interactive Fire Extinguisher training setup, and after the instruction there will be extinguishers given out.

There will also be smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors to give out to citizens.
