West Virginia Governor Jim Justice said he expects construction to begin in the spring.

Bids were rejected for the project back in September after coming in $100 million over budget.

Governor Justice confirmed the state is still committed to the project, which would repair or replace 25 bridges and re-pave along I-70, through Ohio County.

Justice said officials are currently looking at cutting back, but not on the scope of the project.

Rather, state officials are looking at different options to bring the cost down.
