Ohio Valley Medical Center and East Ohio Regional Hospital were unable to take patients transported by ambulance, due to a computer system attack.

According to a statement from the hospitals, the computer software system was attacked by ransomware on Friday. The hospitals switched to a paper charting system and were only able to take walk-in patients.

No patient information has been compromised. According to CEO Daniel Dunmyer, the issue started at EORH and transferred to OVMC.
