Two alleged armed robbers were arrested in Michigan on Thursday, less than 24 hours after a Wintersville gas station was hit.

On Wednesday, the Marathon Gas station along Main Street was robbed at knife point by a male and a female suspect.

Wintersville Police Chief Art Fowler was pleased with the speedy multi-state arrest.

His officers were able to gather various traffic cam footage and in-store surveillance to ID both the suspects and their vehicle and determine where they were headed.

Michael York and Chelsea Lee are both in custody at the Wayne County Jail in Michigan.

They are now hoping for them to waive extradition and be brought back to Jefferson County.

The victim of the robbery was unharmed and, according to Fowler, did everything correctly.
