The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF1 tornado occurred near Carrollton, Ohio on Saturday. Winds reached an estimated 90-95 miles per hour during that time.

Homes and property suffered significant damage.

This is the 8th documented tornado in Carroll County since 1950 and the first since July 23rd 2013 when an EF0 was confirmed in the northeastern part of the county. “

Additional areas of damage are being investigated as the National Weather Service is conducting storm surveys across several southeastern Ohio counties.
