The Carroll County coroner has released the cause and manner of death for Jonathan Minard, a 14-year-old found buried in a shallow grave in Washington Township in April.

Dr. Mandal B. Haas determined that the cause of death was acute Fentanyl intoxication and the manner of death is homicide. Minard had been missing for 6 days before his body was located.

Carroll County Sheriff Dale R. Williams added that they are working with other agencies such as the FBI and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation to gather and evaluate the evidence.
