Ohio Co. Sheriff’s Dept. Cracking Down on School Bus Violations

Ohio County Sheriff’s Office have already issued 17 citations to drivers who passed a stopped school bus with their warning lights flashing. Under West Virginia Code 7, passing a stopped school bus with their warning lights flashing in either direction is a misdemeanor. The misdemeanor is associated with a minimum $500 fine and 60 day license suspension. And repeated offenders will see fines double each offense, meaning a violator could face up to a $2,000 fine, year license suspension and up to six months in...

Man Charged in Hancock Co. Shooting

The man accused of shooting multiple people in Hancock County earlier in August has been charged. Michael McClanahan, 45, of New Cumberland was arraigned in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania on four counts of malicious wounding and was denied bond. He is still in the hospital. On August 14th, McClanahan led law enforcement around the county. He’s accused of creating several crime scenes along the way. Sandra Brown was shot that night and died, the cause of death is still under investigation. The other victims have been released from the hospital. Police Rule a Death in Avella, PA as a Homicide

Authorities said a Washington County man was shot to death by his mother’s boyfriend Wednesday night. Joshua R. Bowland, 31, of Independence was shot by the boyfriend, identified as Arnold Webster,  around 8:45 p.m. during a domestic dispute at a house on Campground Road in the Avella area of Independence, the county coroner’s office said Thursday. Man gets 10 Years to Life for Rape of 12-year-old

A man was sentenced to a long prison sentence after pleading guilty to rape in a Jefferson County Courtroom yesterday. Michael Scott Brown, a former Unionport volunteer fire fighter, was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 10 years for the rape of a 12-year-old girl he was related to.
