A man sentenced to life in prison in 2018 for raping a minor appeared in a Belmont County courtroom.
After an appeal, Christianson Hill’s plea and sentence were withdrawn. He will be going to trial on Oct. 31, and even though he requested new representation, Brent Clyburn will remain his defense attorney.
Also formally charged was George Lekanudos of Bellaire who faces child endangerment and felonious assault charges.
He’s accused of beating his girlfriend and their 18-month-old-child in August.
And finally, Jonathan Sampson is accused of failing to comply with the order or signal of a police officer in an August chase from Bellaire to Yorkville. Police say Sampson rammed a cruiser and tried to run over an officer. Hill is set for trial next week, while the others are on the docket in November.
