Officials with Eastern Gateway Community College are continuing their quest for expansion.
On Thursday, they held a meeting with Jefferson County commissioners to explore the possibilities of expanding what the campus can offer the community.
Earlier this month, EGCC officials held a town hall for community members to voice their ideas and concerns. Growth could include retail and education spaces.
The Commissioners hold the deed to the property that states it must be used for educational purposes.
EGCC President Jimmie Bruce expects to hold another public meeting for the community with commissioners in attendance.
