A water main break inside of Weir Middle School flooded part of the building with several inches of water.
Police and fire crews were called to the school after a police officer patrolling heard an alarm and saw water rushing out from the cafeteria.
Firefighters inside of the building say there were several inches of water in some places spanning from the cafeteria to the gymnasium. No classrooms were affected by the break.
School maintenance staff worked with firefighters to help push the water out of the building. Staff at the school should still report at their regular time this morning.
Weir High School is not affected by this and will have regular classes today.
