Two dog owners in Brooke County are pushing for a limited tethering law that would protect animals during extreme temperatures.

As winter approaches, Cindy Dobbs and Carri Welsh want an ordinance in the county that protects dogs.

The pair hopes that with this ordinance being in place, it would force people to treat their animals better.

County commissioners are hearing this concern, and on Tuesday, Nov. 12, they are holding a public hearing about the possibility of a limited tethering law.
