A Superload that was traveling from Weirton to Hopedale was stuck after the truck hauling the nearly one million pound load broke down in Wintersville.
The Superload broke down yesterday in front of Ft. Steuben Burial Estates on State Route 43 around 3:50 p.m., where traffic is restricted to one lane.
The mechanical issue has since been fixed, but the Superload will remain on State Route 43 until later this morning as it is not permitted to move at night.
As a result of the mechanical breakdown, State Route 151 will close today from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The closure will occur from the State Route 151-U.S. 22 interchange in Hopedale to Giacobbi Road.
The 969,000 pound, 305 foot long Superload is destined for the MarkWest Facility in Hopedale.
