The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation says that Route 22 in Washington County, Pennsylvania will be closed from Route 18 and Maple Grove Road in Smith Township on January 27-28.

The closure is required for construction crews to remove beams from a bridge carrying Route 4007, or Bavington Road.

Construction crews are working on a $6.31 million project which will rehabilitate and replace the structure carrying Route 4007 over Route 22.

According to digital signs on the side of the highway, the eastbound direction will close from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on January 27. The westbound direction will close for the same time on January 28.
