Wintersville Fire Chief Rob Harrington stopped by the Steubenville City Council to urge action on Ambulance Service Inc.

Ambulance Service Inc., also known as ASI, has been providing emergency transportation services in Steubenville for over 50 years, and they said two weeks ago that it’s time for the city to step up when it comes to financing.

Harrington said that his department cannot keep sending their vehicles to cover for Steubenville, citing out of 21 911 calls in the last 24 hours, 9 were answered by Wintersville. He commended the effort of ASI, but says the city needs to come up with a solution…
