Residents along Bantam Ridge Road in Wintersville have been concerned about a stat-stuffing curve near their homes.

So far in 2020, neighbors say there have already been five accidents on the turn alone. Three people have died in the last 20 years along the stretch.

The Jefferson County Engineers Office initially said it wasn’t necessary to add more signage, and then did so anyway. Residents have asked that a guardrail be put up.

The engineer’s office has to follow criteria from the state when adding guardrail.

They said they cannot add guardrail on private property, but residents just do not want another accident leading to more property damage or worse – another life.
