Residents on Orchard and Elm Streets in Weirton woke up Saturday morning to hate messages on their front porch.
The messages are from the Klu Klux Klan and expressed hate towards African Americans and Jewish people. The hate speech was not targeted towards one home but spread everywhere in the neighborhood. People in that neighborhood say that this act of hate is not welcome and they will not tolerate it.
Weirton Police Chief Rob Alexander said they are investigating this situation and are checking cameras to look into it.
He added that they do not condone this behavior and will have extra officers patrolling the area to try and catch whoever left the messages.
