The Columbiana County Health District is reporting the death of a Columbiana County Resident with coronavirus.

According to the latest data from the Ohio department of health, the county has four confirmed cases.

Those who had been in contact with the deceased — an older man who was diagnosed last week — are being monitored.

The health district says it’s essential that you remain in your homes, if you must go into public continue to practice social distancing and standard disease prevention precautions.

COVID-19 can cause mild to severe respiratory illness. Symptoms include fever, cough, and difficulty breathing. If you are sick with respiratory symptoms, contact your primary care provider by phone. If you do not have a primary care provider, contact your local health department and ask to speak with communicable disease staff.
