Plans for re-opening Ohio are being announced with the first wave coming on May 1.
That day, healthcare will reopen, including operations and procedures that don’t require an overnight hospital stay. Dentists and vets can also operate at full capacity.
Governor Mike DeWine said manufacturing, distribution, and construction will open and have to operate under strict guidelines on May 4.
On May 12, consumer, retail, and service businesses will reopen. Employees will be required to wear masks and social distance.
Although businesses are starting to re-open, there will still be stay-at-home orders in place and no gatherings of more than 10 will be allowed.
There are strict guidelines that businesses will need to follow, including health assessments, sanitizing, social distancing guidelines, as well as face-covering requirements.
A big question that still remains is when restaurants, gyms, and salons will re-open? That announcement has not been made.
