One home is destroyed and two other buildings are damaged after a fire took place in Steubenville.

The blaze occurred on Arlington Avenue early yesterday morning

Fire Chief Carlo Capaldi said that someone does live at the home in question, but luckily they were out of the house when the fire started.

According to Steubenville Police reports, several witnesses say that the man who lived in the home had argued with another individual over car damages. Records go on to say that one of the men allegedly threatened to burn the house down if they didn’t fix the problem.

The Weirton and Wintersville Fire Departments assisted with the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
