A fire occurred in downtown Steubenville on Wednesday afternoon.

It happened on South Fifth Street next to the Emmanuel Church of God in Christ.

According to the fire department, the building is used for personal storage.

Nobody was injured in the fire, but there is significant damage to the roof.

“There were no injuries and with the time of day, our crews got there quickly,” Fire Chief Carlo Capaldi said. “The fire was reported quickly so, hopefully, the damage was limited.”

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
