Several shootings occurred in Steubenville last night, leaving one dead and two others wounded.

The Steubenville Police Department responded to three shootings, all within several hours of each other.

The first shooting happened near the intersection of Claire Avenue and Pine Street.

According to police records, two people were shot and taken to Trinity West for treatment.

24-year-old Mytia Barker was later flown to a Pittsburgh area hospital. She later died from her injuries.

The condition of the other victim is unknown at this time.

Nearly one hour later, police officers responded to another shooting, this time in the 400-block of South Sixth Street.

Authorities say a female was struck by gunfire.

She was taken to Weirton Medical Center by Wintersville Fire and Rescue for treatment. Her condition remains unknown.

Several hours later police were called to Sixth and South Streets for another shooting.

Officers responded around 4:30 a.m. and found that vehicles were struck by bullets. No one was injured in the third shooting.

The Steubenville Police Department says investigations are ongoing for all three shootings and the identities of those injured has not been released.

No arrests have been made, however, police do have leads they’re working on.
