Weirton Police announced that they believe a juvenile is responsible for the double homicide of Weir High School sophomore Madison Crowe and her mother Melissa Rowland. Officials believe that the juvenile was a family member and that the crime is an isolated incident. The suspect was appointed counsel and juvenile petitions will initially be filed, but Hancock County prosecutor James Davis is looking to transfer the case to adult court. The suspect is expected to face 2 counts of first-degree murder and is currently being held in a juvenile detention center. A hearing is expected to be held within the next 10 days.
