Officials said the body was found in Little Wheeling Creek, located in Elm Grove, and it’s believed to be a middle-aged man.

Detectives were on the scene quickly to collect evidence and take photos.

Shilling Bridge and Lumber Avenue were closed while the West Virginia Medical Examiner’s office, as well as Wheeling Police and Fire, investigated further.
