Ortiz Arrested for Endangering the Welfare of Children

Police arrested 27-year-old Marcisha Ortiz of Toronto last week on multiple charges, including endangering the welfare of children. Police were called after Ortiz’s neighbor saw her two small children naked and throwing items out of a second story apartment window. Police discovered the two children locked inside of a second floor room with extension cords wrapped around the outside handles to make sure that the children would not be able to get out. East Liverpool Nurses Strike

The East Liverpool Nurse’s Association went on strike, beginning yesterday morning. The strike is due to position vacancies at the hospital, which creates poor working conditions for the nurses, as well as potentially compromised care for the patients.
