The Jefferson County General Health District is strengthening their fight against COVID-19 by holding vaccine clinics at area churches throughout the month of June.

They are calling this initiative Vaccinate to Congregate. They clinics are walk-in, all are welcome and you do not need to make an appointment. The initiative was created by RADx-UP Community Health Workers. RADx-UP stands for Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics in Underserved Po;ulations. Their goal is to both address and reduce the low education, testing, contact tracing, vaccines, follow-up and treatment among minorities, underserved and vulnerable populations.

The schedule for these pop-up vaccine clinics is listed below:

    Greater Zion Temple Family Worship Center, 500 North Fifth Street
    4 – 6 P.M.
  • June 19th
    Second Baptist Church, 717 Adams Street
    10 A.M. – 12 P.M.
  • June 20th
    Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 221 North 7th Street
    12 – 2 P.M.
  • June 27th
    Calvary Community Baptist Church, 511 Woodlawn Road
    12 – 2 P.M.
  • June 30th
    Agape Apostolic Church, 525 Slack Street
