Route 2 was closed for nearly 12 hours as crews tried to clean up an asphalt spill.
A truck carrying liquid asphalt lost control and rolled on the roadway around 11:30 yesterday morning, closing both lanes of Route 2.
Crews were able to open up one lane in the early afternoon — but both lanes didn’t open back up until around 10:00 last night.
