Crews responded to two structure fires in Weirton yesterday afternoon. A fire in the area of Adena Street began at around 4 p.m.
Authorities are questioning residents on the fire. No word yet on injuries or who may have been inside.
Another fire happened around 2 p.m. at Marland Heights.
Initially, the fire is believed to have started as a brush fire, then reaching the fence, then on to the garage and subsequently catching the back porch of one home on fire.
The Weirton Fire Department responded quickly to the scene. No one was injured.
