An elementary school in Marshall County was closed yesterday because of water damage.
School officials were alerted late Sunday that a storm drain broke underneath a floor slab at Glen Dale Elementary School causing water to back up into an office and three classrooms on the main floor of the building.
In the office, water came down from the ceiling.
And because of the clean-up process, officials decided to cancel for the day in order to get everything back up and running as normal.
Crews will be working throughout the day, and class will be back in session this morning.
