If you have ever taken St. Rte 43 in Ohio, you’ve probably had a couple of anxious moments if not some stress navigating the S-curve in the Village of Amsterdam.
The Ohio Department of Transportation found over 2,000 vehicles travel on 43 daily and it barely lets two cars squeeze by one another, let alone large oil-and-gas or distribution trucks. Now, some safety improvements are making its way to the village.
$700,000 will go into straightening the curve, and with the funding now in place, the project will go out for bid in early 2019.
