Jefferson Co. Community Action Council Helps Beat the Heat

The Community Action Council in Jefferson County will continue the Summer Crisis Program until August 31st.

The program assists low income households with electric bills, air conditioners, and fans for those who are eligible.

Households must include a member 60 years or older or can provide a doctor’s note that cooling assistance is need for health reasons.
