People are concerned for their loved ones who are being cared for at East Ohio Regional Hospital because of an ongoing air conditioning issue.
To permanently fix the issues, the hospital had to have a new air conditioning unit delivered from Texas and that unit is expected to arrive this weekend.
Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Karin Janiszewski said they’re doing everything they can to keep the patients comfortable, including using portable air-conditioning units.
OVMC and East Ohio Regional Hospital C.E.O., Daniel C. Dunmyer released this statement, “One of the air conditioning units, also known as a chiller system, within East Ohio Regional Hospital went down Monday morning. Our Environmental Services team is working with Johnson Boiler Works to repair the unit. Not all areas of the hospital have been affected but those patient areas that have experienced loss of air conditioning have been relocated to other areas in the hospital.”
