Blankenship Files to Run for WV Senate with Constitution Party

Former coal executive Don Blankenship filed paperwork yesterday to run for U.S. Senate in November as the Constitution Party’s candidate.

This will likely trigger a legal fight for him under the states “sore loser law”, which prevents

individuals who lost a primary contest from running in the general election.

Blankenship is confident he can be on the ballot and win the election in November.
