The Ohio State Highway Patrol held a one-day traffic crackdown Tuesday in Harrison County.

The traffic enforcement was to get the attention of drivers on the most dangerous roads in Harrison County.

Working alongside Harrison County Sheriff’s deputies, highway patrol officers stood by for 12 hours Tuesday, watching for tailgaters, speeding and improper passing.

Highway Patrol said another concentrated blitz along 250, 151 and other main roads will happen again next month.

The effort won’t be announced, so the hope is the attention on this crackdown will keep drivers vigilant and safe.
